Q. What does a session feel like? Most people experience a deep sense of peace, relaxation, soothing warmth, or gentle tingling in certain areas. In other areas, you might not notice anything at all. Q. Do I need to believe in Reiki for it to work? No. Reiki is not a belief-based practice, so you don’t have to be spiritual or have any particular belief system for it to work. It’s similar to how gravity works — whether or not you believe in it, it still exists. Reiki is all about energy, which is something that’s universal and flows through everything, so it works regardless of belief. Q. Can I receive Reiki from a distance? Yes. Energy is not limited by time, space or location. Everything in the universe is interconnected, so energy is not limited by physical distance, and an individuals energy field extends beyond physical boundaries. You can be in the same room or hundred of miles away. Remote or distant Reiki uses intention and visualization techniques to connect with the recipient's energy field to direct healing energy to the areas where it is needed.

Q. If I am receiving Reiki remotely, can I just go about my day? Yes, if necessary, you can continue to go about your routine, However it is important to NOT DRIVE, while receiving reiki. It’s always better to take a time out from the world to sit in silence and acknowledge receiving the universal life force energy. Recipients usually choose to relax, meditate, or simply lying down and being open to receiving the energy during a session.

Q. Is Reiki a substitute for medical care? No. Reiki should be used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical care, not as a replacement for treatments with proven medical benefits. Reiki is not a cure for any disease. If you are undergoing major medical treatment and considering Reiki, it's a good idea to discuss it with your doctor or healthcare provider.

Q. Should I stop seeing a regular doctor or psychologist in order to receive a Reiki? No. Reiki works in conjunction with regular medical or psychological treatment. If you has a medical or psychological condition, it is recommended that you continue to see a licensed health care professional in addition to receiving Reiki. Reiki energy works in harmony with all other forms of healing, including drugs, surgery, psychological care or any other method of alternative care.

Q. Is it safe for pregnant woman and babies? Reiki/Energy healing is generally considered safe, non-invasive, and beneficial during pregnancy. Reiki is safe during all stages of pregnancy, from conception to childbirth, and even during labor, childbirth and postpartum. Reiki is not harmful to the fetus or baby once born. The Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut conducted tests in a clinical setting during pregnancy involving the use of just the simplest form of Reiki. Q. Is it safe for animals or plants? Animals love Reiki. They seem to have a natural understanding of what Reiki is and its benefits. Once a pet has received a Reiki, they will often let you know that they want more. Plants also respond well to Reiki.
